Explore our temporary exhibition of magical soft sculptures by renowned artist Wendy Froud, often known as the “Mother of Yoda” for her work bringing the beloved character to life.

Froud began her career working with Jim Henson's Creature Shop, creating puppets for The Muppet Show and The Muppet Movie, before helping bring Yoda to life for The Empire Strikes Back. She went on to create and sculpt creatures for beloved fantasy films including The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth.

Beyond the screen, Froud has built an extraordinary artistic world of faeries, dolls, figures, and fantastical creatures, drawing inspiration from folklore, mythology, nature, and the imagination. Her work has been exhibited and collected internationally, and she continues to explore the magical possibilities of sculpture and storytelling.
